A Vision Born from
Water Scarcity
In 2003, our founder Vijay Kumar watched farmers in Gujarat struggle with unreliable, energy-hungry pumps that failed at the worst possible times. He had a clear vision: build pumps that simply work — every time, anywhere.
Starting with a single 2,000 sq ft workshop and a team of eight, Welgro’s first submersible pump rolled off the line after 18 months of iterative design and field-testing. It outlasted competitors by 3:1 in real-world conditions.
Today, from our 80,000 sq ft ISO-certified facility, we manufacture 40+ product variants — from 0.5 HP household pumps to 75 HP industrial centrifugal systems — all still built on the same founding obsession: reliability, efficiency, and service.
